Environment: accelerating toward a low-carbon future

The ecological transition is a priority at Orange. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and building a large-scale circular economy.

Goal: Orange Net Zero Carbon by 2040, 10 years ahead of the Paris Agreement.

Our Orange CSR achievements so far:
 
  • 30% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (scopes 1, 2, and 3) between 2015 and 2025 
  • 48% of our electricity consumption comes from renewable sources 
  • 12,000 sites equipped with solar panels 
  • Orange Nature Fund: €50M for reforestation and ecosystem restoration 
  • "Re" program: collection and refurbishment of mobile phones (29% collection rate in Europe in 2024)

Digital inclusion: making digital accessible to everyone

Reducing the digital divide is essential for fair progress. That is why we multiply initiatives to ensure access, mastery, and responsible use of digital technologies.

Our commitments:
  • 25 Orange Digital Centres: free places to learn coding, train, or start a business.
  • 300 solidarity FabLabs in 26 countries.
  • 1,700 digital schools in Africa and the Middle East.
  • "Coup de pouce internet" offer for households in financial difficulty.
  • #SuperCoders program: coding workshops from middle school.
  • "For Good Connections" initiative to support families in navigating digital use.
