Job Overview

The Security Solutions Engineer, is responsible for developing and executing strategies to deliver cyber security solutions and services for Orange business customers. The position will deliver engineering products that will support the overall Security Services roadmaps, which will include requirements grooming, working with partners and engineering teams to develop the solutions, testing and validation, operational handover processes, and ongoing technical leadership.


The engineer should have a deep technical understanding of application, host, cloud and network security tools and techniques, must be familiar with security industry standards and best practices, and must be able to effectively work with development, engineering and operational counterparts, across a broad and deeply technical environment in all security areas.


The position is highly collaborative across a variety of teams, both technical and non-technical, and will require a strong ability to build effective, productive relationships in order to succeed.



Pre Sales

Analyze new and existing technologies, processes, and services to build new services and solutions to deliver to our customers.

Partner with product teams to provide technical leadership and guidance.

In-lab design and test of overall architecture and components

Design and test complex customer security solutions and architectures.

Perform systems integration across multiple security platforms and technologies.

Provide support to presales teams worldwide, including France

Work closely with Customer Solutions, Professional Services, Service Delivery, Operations to design, develop and support Security solutions and on critical strategic occasions directly with Equant's customers. 


Post Sales

Takes a Leadership role to provide guidance and oversight to customer projects.

Perform operational like tasks during pilot phases to assist operations.

Provide operations teams with the appropriate documentation and training and lead them during the rollout and deployment.

Provide level-3 support to operations, and develop and execute test plans.

votre profil

Professional Experience:
- At least 5 years of professional experience.
- At least 3 years of IT/Network security management experience.
- At least 1 years in IT/Network security products engineering experience.

Skills / Qualifications:
-Very good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, routing OSPF, switching)
-Very good understanding of application & network security concepts & technologies

-Networking Experience - VPN technologies such as IPSec and VPN clients
-Network Security (SSL/TLS, VPNs, Firewall, IDS/IPS)
-Authentication systems such as LDAP, MS AD etc
-Knowledge of protocols such as HTTP, SMTP, FTP, DNS
-Experience with operating systems such as Linux, Unix and Free BSD
-Network troubleshooting experience - Familiarity with tools such as Ping, Traceroute, MTR, and Network Protocol Analyzers such as tcpdump, Wireshark

-In depth experience on one of the followin products:
-Proxies: Bluecoat mainly, also Cisco MWS & NetApp NetCache are acceptable.
-Firewalls:  Juniper, Fortinet & PaloAlto.
-Operating Systems: Unix & Linux.

-Virtualization: Vmware & openstack

-Ability to develop shell, perl or python scripts.

-Hands-on experience in evaluating specification, lab validating & testing.

-Hands-on experience in analyzing architecture and building proposals.

-Ablility to write technical documentation for operations, sales & Marketing.

-Certification in at least one of the firewall technologies (Juniper, Fortinet or PaloAlto).

-Certification in at least 1 security domain (CISSP,CISM,....., etc..) is a plus-English fluency is mandatory & French fluency is a plus.
