As the Chief Information Officer at Orange Liberia, you will be a visionary leader entrusted with driving the company’s strategic ambition to lead the future of digital connectivity and innovation. Your role is pivotal in shaping Orange Liberia’s technological landscape by overseeing IT operations, cybersecurity, service platform management, and spearheading transformative initiatives in digital, data, and AI. You will ensure that Orange Liberia remains at the forefront of technological excellence, customer-centric innovation, and sustainable growth.
As such, you are responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Innovation:
- Develop and execute a forward-looking IT strategy aligned with Orange Liberia’s ambition to lead the future of digital connectivity. Foster a culture of innovation that supports the company’s vision to be a digital leader. Control the IT budget, ensuring cost efficiency and optimal resource allocation (CAPEX/OPEX).
Cybersecurity & Trust:
- Establish and uphold robust cybersecurity frameworks to protect Orange Liberia’s assets, customer data, and brand reputation. Lead efforts to build trust through transparency, resilience, and proactive risk management.
Service Platform Excellence:
- Oversee the design, deployment, and continuous evolution of Orange Liberia’s service platforms, ensuring they are agile, scalable, and capable of supporting future digital ecosystems. Drive integration of new services (e.g., FinTech, IoT, cloud solutions) to enhance revenue streams.
Digital, Data & AI Transformation:
- Drive transformative initiatives that leverage digital technologies, data analytics, and AI to create innovative products, enhance customer experiences, and unlock new business opportunities aligned with Orange Liberia’s strategic ambitions.
Sustainable & Inclusive Growth:
- Integrate sustainability and inclusivity into technology strategies, ensuring Orange Liberia’s digital future benefits society and the environment.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with executive leadership, business units, partners, and communities to align technological advancements with Orange Liberia’s strategic goals and societal impact.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Lead efforts to ensure compliance with evolving regulations and standards, while proactively managing risks related to cybersecurity, data privacy, and operational resilience.
Talent & Culture Development:
- Build and nurture a diverse, innovative, agile IT and digital team. Promote continuous learning and a growth mindset to support Orange Liberia’s future ambitions.
Team Leadership & Governance:
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams across IT, Cybersecurity, Platform Management, and Digital/Data functions.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage vendor relationships and strategic partnerships
- Represent Orange Liberia's technology interests within the Orange Group ecosystem
- Report regularly to the CEO and Executive Committee on technology performance, risks, initiatives, and ROI
votre profil
Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration (MBA with tech focus), or a related field. Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles, with at least 8 years in a senior management or executive position. Proven experience in senior IT leadership roles, ideally within telecommunications, digital innovation, or related sectors. Extensive experience managing large-scale IT infrastructure, operations, and complex transformation programs. Experience in developing and executing enterprise-wide Cybersecurity strategies and managing significant security incidents. Understanding and hands-on experience with Digital Transformation, Data Strategy & Governance, and AI/ML implementation. Strong experience with Telco service platforms (BSS/OSS, VAS, Mobile Money, Digital Channels). Proven success in managing large budgets and complex vendor relationships. Experience working in or with multinational organizations (Orange Group experience a plus). Experience in emerging markets, particularly Africa, is advantageous.
