The Data Value Measurement is a brand-new approach
that helps organization to perform and improve their processes in terms of value generation. You will be part of a global program inside Orange with interactions with countries from Europe, Middle East Africa and entities within OBS (Orange Business Services), WIN (Wholesale International Network).

The core team is leading the governance and defining recommendation to execute the value measurement. We are supporting teams to uncover the value areas per business domain. You will be part of a dynamic and agile team, composed by five people: the program director, two data
translators, financial guy, and you. You will work alongside other core team members and report directly to the program director.

The Data Value Measurement methodology foundation is based on a cross-functional team: data squad, business owners and the financial guy.

We need a new talent, who:

  • Is entrepreneurial at heart, a strong communicator.
  • Loves to share your knowledge with peers and conduct research and analysis in order to come up with a suitable solution to a tricky business problem: How to measure the value generated by AI initiatives?
  • Has an effective knowledge in a specific application domain, such as network, marketing, process mining, fraud...
  • Has an expertise in working with data in public Cloud (Google, AWS, Azure)

As a Data scientist evangelist, you will support Data squad to proceed the methodology and prepare the live monitoring of the use case:

  • Partner with your peers, the local data team, and help them to translate the model’s outputs into outcomes used for measuring the business impact and the financial performance,
  • Write clear documentation such as Notebooks that ease the methodology execution from the benefit curve computation to the AB testing execution for the live monitoring,
  • Demonstrate the value generation with accurate value cockpit that gives a hands-on dashboard with financial, data and business metrics,
  • Conduct a study and help the core team to emphasis the replication principle for scaling the measurement.

As a core team member, you will contribute to the animation of the governance at several level of the organization:

  • The monthly Big Rocks review, a meeting that provides to “Codir” of Data and AI and overview of key achievements and issues to tackle at the group level.
  • The monthly Steerco meeting, a sync meeting with Data Value Leaders from countries. We are seeking momentum and showcasing a new assessment or changing inside the methodology.
  • The weekly Open Coffee session, a recurring webinar with doers. We are addressing key topics of the methodology to  ease adoption and acculturate people with value measurement.

    What you need to know/have regarding the context you will evolve:

    • Clear presentation to explain the “why” behind - Strong ability to understand the big picture and deliver results in a partnering and collaborative style with both software engineers and business representative.
    • Results focus, problem solving acumen - Experience in running workshops and communicating results to stakeholders whatever their skills in Data and AI related work.
    • Recommend the right metric - Use predictive modeling, optimization, and/or machine learning analytics techniques (clustering, dimensionality reduction, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, natural language understanding, deep learning networks) and tools/programming languages
    • Focus on replication - Understanding of cloud-based deployments and ability in working with public cloud frameworks (such as Google Cloud or AWS or Microsoft Azure)

    What will make you the proper candidate for this job position:

    • Strong communication skills in English (and French is a plus)
    • Good leadership skills and ability to work under pressure
    • Autonomy and ability to work in a multicultural environment
    • Good understanding of CI-CD concepts and practical experience in deploying predictive models using CI-CD frameworks (aka MLOps)
    • Strong knowledge theorical in data science (data viz, predictive models, …)

    Education and experience:

    • Master’s degree in data science and Machine learning with at least 3 years of experience.
