EDHEC Sailing Cup 2017
The 49th EDHEC Sailing Cup sets off from 31 March to 8 April to Port Crouesty.
For the ninth year running, Orange is one of the main partners of this event, which attracts 3,000 participants for an intensive week of competition on sea, land and sand. All told, more than 160 universities and 22 countries are represented.
A different way of meeting people
For Orange, this event is an opportunity to meet students and future graduates of various backgrounds, in a friendly, active environment.
Students can come talk with Orange employees about their work and their careers.
The Seabercafé, an institution
Orange also brings its expertise in telecom services by providing an excellent broadband experience at the Orange Seabercafé, a place where all participants can meet and connect. Indeed, the high-fibre Seabercafé enables them to surf at superfast speeds, thanks to Orange’s FTTH service. It’s also a place to relax, for instance by watching the latest TV series on the OCS channels. A foosball table is available, as well as virtual reality headsets. A photographer will be on location all week to capture the highlights of the teams and individuals, print them and share them via Facebook and Twitter. Finally, we set up a “question box” with our partner JobTeaser to collect participants’ impressions throughout the week.
The Orange Port Escale ("port of call"), Tuesday 4th April
This year, le “Port Escale Orange”, a highlight of the regatta, will take place in Quiberon, southern Brittany. The Orange team will welcome the crews for a chat over a cocktail – and hand out the famous Port Escale Orange t-shirt. At 7 p.m., the celebration begins under the marquee: time for local delicacies and a rock concert!
The Orange Battle will take place from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th April
This year, once again, Orange is going all out to keep the students busy. Everyone’s invited to join the Orange Battle! From Monday, 3 April to Friday, 7 April, those who signed up will join a team to take part in many events and ratchet up points. The team with the most points at the end of the week wins and its four members will walk away with 32GB 4G/WIFI Ipad Minis.
