Q&A

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s.

Marie-Angèle, Data Scientist at Orange:

“Today, AI is at the heart of every Orange business line and is constantly evolving. Addressing ethical and responsible issues has become a strong commitment for our planet.

Beyond designing predictive and statistical models, my role as a data scientist is also to identify potential ethical risks and biases (transparency, fairness, security, robustness). I use many tools to mitigate bias at every stage of an AI project, for example, analysing photos of network equipment taken by our field technicians.

From the beginning of the design process, I also need to think about minimising the environmental impact of models by optimising their energy consumption.”

Antoine, Data Scientist at Orange:

"Generative AI, deep learning, clustering, and MLOps are just some of the technologies I use daily to tackle demanding challenges.

For example, they help me detect hazardous equipment in the field so we can act quickly. AI and predictive maintenance ensure the continuous quality of connections on our networks.

My work naturally aligns with Orange’s ambition to be a leader in responsible AI, delivering value through ethics right from the earliest stages of development. This means that when I design algorithms, I address technical challenges and also ensure AI protects people in every situation.”

Julie, Ingénieure Data Scientist at Orange:

"Starting out in tech at Orange means you can explore many different jobs and technologies. Even in data, if I work in marketing or in cybersecurity, it will be a completely different experience.

Being at Orange allows me to move across all these fields. That makes this such a real opportunity as a data scientist.”

Khaoula, Head of an AI Research Team at Orange:

"AI has become democratised; it’s everywhere, across all sectors. That’s a real advantage for your career: it makes changing companies, projects, or industry easier. On top of that, AI profiles are in high demand. Companies really need expertise in this area.”

Lou Ann, Communication Intern at Orange:

"At Orange, Generative AI isn’t just for tech experts; it’s relevant to all of us, whatever our role. The company provides internal generative AI tools to all teams, enabling us to be ‘augmented.’

These tools save me precious time, allowing me to focus on higher-value tasks and develop new skills. I can boost my productivity, enrich my professional experience, and even contribute to innovative projects. I genuinely feel valued."
