Digest
- Write down what motivates you, in 3 clear points
- Clean up your Google results and social profiles
- Fine-tune your LinkedIn with real examples and experiences
- Stay active on social media, at your own pace
Note down what you want to highlight
Start simply by drawing three columns on a sheet of paper:
Do you enjoy solving problems as part of a team? Do you volunteer for a charity? Do you have professional certifications? Write it all down. It's a good start for your brand image.
- What you love doing,
- What people often say about you,
- Your professional strengths and personal qualities.

Optimise your LinkedIn profile
A profile with no photo, no summary, and no apparent mission is not inspiring. To develop your personal branding, focus on:
- a clear, smiling photo,
- a banner that explains in two sentences what you do, or what you want to do,
- a summary of your career path, in 5 lines with precise examples.

Speak up, your way
Do you enjoy writing, contributing and interacting? Wonderful. Share your voice and show your commitment. Follow the “rule of thirds” when posting:
You don't have to be an expert, just committed. There is no need to be online 24/7. One post a week is plenty, as long as you strike a balance between your professional strategy, your beliefs, current topics, and your personal perspective.
Not sure what to say? Start with a simple sentence, like: “Today, I learned that...” and repos something that interests you. When you feel ready, write a simple post: one paragraph, with no more than three hashtags. Later, you can move on to full-length articles.
- 1/3 about your work
- 1/3 about your community
- 1/3 about something personal
