Purpose of the job

To manage and maintain redhat OpenStack environment and its components.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Day to day operations of the systems including Systems Administration, Monitoring performance and Enhancement.
  • Monitor, Maintain, and troubleshoot of OpenStack Cloud Services, IaaS, and PaaS.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot integration between OpenStack and other systems.
  • Manage, coordinate, and administrate of software upgrades, updates, patches, and hot fixes.
  • Create and update the technical documentation for Linux servers and OpenStack environment.
  • Work closely with the Backup team to ensure the backup operations with the best practices.

Job specification

Education

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or computer science from a recognized university.

Experience

  • Emerging Talent: 3-5 years of experience.
  • Experienced Professional: 5-9 years of experience.

  • Must have at least 6 years of experience in RedHat OpenStack administration with Advanced setup, Implementation, Configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with RedHat OpenShift and RedHat Ansible Automation Platform.
  • Monitoring, Maintaining, and troubleshooting of OpenStack Cloud Services, IaaS, and PaaS.
  • Manage, coordinate, and administrate of software upgrades, updates, patches, and hot fixes.
  • Hands on experience on RedHat Satellite Administration.
  • Hands on experience on IBM Cloud Pak.
  • Hands on experience on OpenStack Ironic Bare Metal.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Very Good knowledge in Linux/Windows operating systems.
