about the role

We’re searching for Cloud Architect having experience on designing, implementing, and managing AWS based cloud solutions to join our Service Delivery team, which is responsible for Integration, managing, securing, and supporting Cloud & IT infrastructure for our customers around the world.

 

This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services, best practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable cloud solutions.

You will be typically involving a high level of technical expertise and experience in managing cloud-based systems and infrastructure.

You will be responsible for ensuring that cloud environment is reliable, scalable, and secure. You will also work closely with other teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure that all applications and services are operating at peak performance.

You will be responsible to manage LLDs, design blueprint and other technical documentation during post-sales phase. You will manage complex changes, upgrades, design changes, optimization, new implementations.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implementation of AWS solutions: You should have experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure using AWS services. This includes designing and implementing secure cloud architectures, managing cloud resources, and implementing best practices for availability, scalability, and cost optimization.
  • Providing Technical Expertise: You will be responsible for providing technical expertise to resolve complex issues related to AWS services. This includes troubleshooting, identifying the root cause, and implementing solutions. Stay up-to-date with new AWS services and features, and recommend changes to our infrastructure to take advantage of new opportunities.
  • AWS Service Selection: Identify and recommend AWS services and components that best suit project requirements, considering factors such as scalability, security, performance, and cost. Review End-of-Life Notification and propose alternatives
  • Automation/IaC: Developing and maintaining automation scripts and tools to optimize and streamline cloud operations. You will be responsible for automating processes related to AWS infrastructure management, deployment, and monitoring. This includes developing scripts, templates, and tools to automate manual processes and ensure consistency. The engineer should have experience in automating tasks using AWS automation tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS Lambda, and AWS CodePipeline.
  • Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize AWS resource usage to control costs while ensuring optimal performance.
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement strategies for high availability and disaster recovery to ensure business continuity.
  • Security Management: Ensuring the security of the AWS infrastructure and applications. This includes implementing security best practices, monitoring security events, and responding to security incidents. You should have expertise in implementing and managing security measures in AWS, including implementing security policies, conducting security audits, and managing access control. Ensure compliance with security policies and standards and implement security controls for AWS infrastructure and services.
  • Performance Optimization: You will be responsible for monitoring the AWS infrastructure and ensuring optimal performance. This includes identifying and resolving issues related to system capacity, utilization, and security. You will be responsible for monitoring the AWS infrastructure and resolving any issues that arise. You should be proficient in using AWS tools for monitoring and logging, and be able to troubleshoot and diagnose issues quickly
  • Capacity Planning: Proactively identifying capacity needs and planning for infrastructure upgrades or adjustments. Manage and maintain AWS cloud-based infrastructure and services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and other services.
  • Backup and Recovery: Developing and implementing backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity in case of disaster or system failure
  • Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and initiatives. You should be able to work collaboratively with other teams, including development teams, to ensure that the AWS infrastructure meets the needs of the organization. Interlock with nearshore and offshore teams to fully understand latest advancements, Managed Cloud operating models and value proposition. Provide guidance and support to other members of the Cloud Operations team, including mentoring and coaching.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: You will be responsible for documenting procedures and sharing knowledge with other team members. This includes creating technical documentation, conducting training sessions, and providing guidance on best practices. The engineer should create and maintain documentation related to the AWS infrastructure, including architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery plans.

Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve cloud operations processes and implementing changes to increase efficiency, scalability, and reliability. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in AWS infrastructure and processes. This includes proposing and implementing changes to optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve efficiency


about you

This is a customer-facing role and is ideal for an excellent communicator with a positive outlook and having problem solving mindset. You should be ready to work in customer time zone and during off business hours to manage operations.

 

Work experience:

Ideally you should have 5+ years relevant experience in large scale Cloud operations, having minimum 12 years of industry experience.

 

Qualifications:

  • BE/B.Tech/MCA/ B.Sc. (IT/Computer Science)
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
  • ITIL certification

 

 

Skill profile:

  • Technical skills: The cloud Architect should have strong technical skills and expertise in cloud computing and related technologies.
    • Proven experience designing and implementing AWS-based solutions.
    • Experience on managing large scale environment running on Cloud (AWS)
    • Ability to lead troubleshooting for issues both known and unknown across domain. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with tools like AWS X-Ray, etc
    • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, principles, and best practices.
    • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and infrastructure as code.
    • Familiarity with DevOps and DevSecOps practices and tools
    • Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in AWS.
    • Proven ability to provide technical recommendations to solve short- and long-term issues.

 

  • Communication skills: should have excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work with minimal supervision in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders.
  • Problem solving skills: should have strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Attention to detail: The candidate should have strong attention to detail and be able to identify issues before they become major problems.
  • Analytical skills: should have strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Adaptability: The candidate should be able to adapt to changing situations and requirements and be able to learn new technologies quickly
