Senior Data Scientist

Purpose of the job

This role is responsible for leading the development and implementation of advanced analytics, machine learning models, and data driven solutions to drive business insights and staretgic decision-making. It involves designing and optimizing predictive models, uncovering patterns in large datasets, andcollaborating with cross-finctional teams to enhance data-driven decision making.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Lead AI/ML initiatives, driving innovation and strategic alignment with business objectives.
2. Develop, architect and optimize large-scale deep learning and generative AI solutions.
3. Build robust pipelines for continuous model deployment, monitoring, and governance.
4. Research and implement cutting-edge AI advancements
5. Mentor and guide junior and mid-level data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation.

Job specification

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Statistics.

Skills and Abilities

• Fluent English and Arabic is a must
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, handling multiple concurrent
• Detail-oriented and process oriented.
• Flexibility in dealing with people with diverse working styles
• Analytical Mindset
• Business Acumen
• Solid experience in classical ML modelling
• Solid experience in deep learning architectures.
• Experience in Generative AI (LLMs, GANs, diffusion models..etc)
• Knowledge in MLOps, including model drift detection, and scaling ML systems.
• Leadership skills with experience in managing business stakeholders and projects
• Experience with SQL
• 4+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, and deep learning is preferred
• Experience with reinforcement learning and foundation models is a plus
• Contributions to AI research, patents, or open-source projects is a plus
