Purpose of the job
Responsible for design and implement Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) following best practices. bring customers together in deep-dive workshops to determine what is valuable in their current SIEM and how we are going to improve upon that functionality in Splunk, deliver Splunk Security solutions to customers leveraging (overlaying) Splunk Zero Trust Security methodologies to enable customers to achieve their Security initiatives
Duties and responsibilities
- Collaborate with business owners to understand project requirements and business objectives.
- Install Enterprise Security and configure with necessary correlation data
- Implement basic security use cases in the Splunk ES
- Deliver SIEM Replacement workshops..
- Develop SIEM Replacement Assessment reports.
- Install, configure, and tune Spunks User Behavior Analytics (UBA) product
- Understand and provide strategic advice and planning for Zero Trust use cases
- Provide comprehensive detection, monitoring, analytics, and automation solutions across the Splunk Security portfolio that meet Zero Trust strategy and architecture
Job specification
Education
- Bachelors degree in engineering or computer science from a recognized university.
Experience.
- Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience with Splunk SIEM & SOAR Implementations.
- Have knowledge sharing and teamwork skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Certifications required
- Splunk Accredited ES Implementation
- Splunk Core Certified Consultant
- Splunk Enterprise Security Admin
- Splunk SOAR Automation Developer
- Splunk Accredited UBA Implementation
- Infrastructure Monitoring Foundational
- Observability Cloud - Foundational
Should hold three of the following certificates: -
- Splunk Accredited ES Implementation
- Splunk Core Certified Consultant
- Splunk Enterprise Security Admin
- Splunk SOAR Automation Developer
- Splunk Accredited UBA Implementation
Skills and abilities
- Very good English both spoken and written.
