about the role
Job purpose
The OB IT department is in charge of decision-making information systems, serving Orange Business different line of businesses such as marketing, pre-sales, sales, production, after-sales services, and customer-service for both France and international domains.
In this context, the API Acceleration Program is a new project within OB IT, aiming at accelerating the internal transformation within the organization. The main aim of the program is to transform the architecture of the existing applications to be more modular with REST APIs, and to provide Self-Service APIs to the Orange Business customers. Part of this program is creating a transversal team of developers, business analysts and architects, whose main target is to design/develop the Orange Business Logic API layer as well as to act as a transversal enabler to help other development teams peruse their API transformation as early as possible.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
The IT Business Analyst - Senior will be responsible for working closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and product owners to analyze business needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements.
In an Agile context, the IT Business Analyst - Senior is required to undertake the following responsibilities:
- Fully understand and document business requirements, workflows, and processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain API documentation, ensuring clarity and alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Perform data mapping activities to ensure seamless integration between different systems.
- Identify gaps and propose solutions to improve system efficiency and business operations.
- Facilitate communication between business units and IT teams to ensure alignment.
- Develop use cases, user stories, and process flows for various applications.
- Support Agile methodologies in project management and development activities.
- Work with API documentation and integration tools to support system interoperability.
- Assist in RFP analysis and vendor evaluations for business and IT solutions.
- Participate in the testing and validation of API integrations to ensure functional correctness.
- Ensure compliance with security and data protection regulations in integration processes.

- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with API documentation and integration.
- Experience with API-related workflows, including data mapping, authentication, and security protocols.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies, SDLC, and IT service management frameworks (ITIL).
- Understanding of enterprise architecture principles (TOGAF is a plus).
- Knowledge of data analysis tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with software development processes and API integrations.
- Familiarity with version control tools (GitLab/GitHub).
- Understanding of cloud technologies and business system integrations.
- Proficiency in API documentation and data mapping tools (Swagger, Postman).
- Experience using Agile project management tools such as JIRA
- Knowledge of RFP analysis and vendor evaluation processes.
Educational background:
- B.Sc. in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Fluent in English, French is a plus.

- 10+ years of experience in the IT industry.
