about the role

The Business Line Manager Smart Mobility & Smart Industry Services will drive regional product leadership and enable services within the IoT Connectivity and Smart Industry/OX portfolio, focusing on 4G and 5G MPN solutions. This role requires expertise in the IoT connectivity market and technical solutions to address regional needs and initiate, when required, new product developments.

The Business Line Manager will collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with market demands and facilitate cooperation across European entities. Additionally, he will contribute to building a strong sales pipeline and achieving deal closure, enhancing the overall success of the Business Line.

As part of the Cool Stuff/Business Lines Europe team, the Business Line Manager will focus on three main missions: 

- Regional Product Leadership at the Business Line level within a given portfolio. 

- Enablement of services to support regional demand with scarce resources. 

- Foster cooperation between entities in the European context.  

The Business Line Manager will focus on: 

- Acting as a team player in a self-organizing Portfolio Team, working with resource pools from consulting or pre-sales. 

- Managing and maintaining the transversal Business Line lifecycle (products, services, solutions) and portfolio roadmaps for European territories. 

- Maintaining communication lines with central teams, representing the European region and defending customer interests. 

- Developing new initiatives in alignment with the portfolio Manager, addressing specific regional needs. 

- Establishing cooperation models with internal entities to align the Business Line in the European context. 

- Documenting Minimum Viable Products (MVP) and communicating them to presales and sales teams. 

- Team Player: Business Line Managers represent Business Lines within squads, acting as product owners or in other SAFe © roles. 

- Financial: Achieve regional/team targets related to pipeline creation, closed deals, revenue/margin, and success in launching new initiatives. 


about you

Articulate Business Line products, services, solutions, and roadmaps. 

- Interlock with partners and international product management. 

- Lead virtual teams within a matrix and geographically spread environment. 

- Maintain Business Line maturity assessment and drive quality and performance metrics. 

- Demonstrate regional product leadership and maintain communication with central teams. 

- Develop new initiatives with an entrepreneurial mindset and address repeatability through proper documentation. 

  • Master’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or relevant equivalent experience. 
  • 5+ years of experience in IT and Business Consulting, Presales, or Consulting-/Services-Sales. 
  • 5 years minimum experience in consultative selling and relationship management within multinational companies. 
  • Experience in working in a Lean-Agile team in accordance with SAFe™. 
  • Relevant partner certifications and SAFe © certifications are a plus.
