Working as Senior Project Manager 

Reporting to the PMO Manager the Senior Project Manager will be technically astute, a strong team player and have a solid background in both business and IT domains. You will have extensive experience in delivering complex and managing a portfolio IT projects. We are looking for a dynamic, articulate and motivated Senior Project Manager who can deliver operational excellence for our client projects and communicate with senior stakeholders in a very high performing department.

You will be an expert communicator and able to manage the project deliverables on behalf of Orange Cyberdefense, delivering those projects to scope, time, quality and cost expectations. You must possess passion and energy, be forward thinking and able to make sound commercial decisions to ensure technical success criteria and client expectations are met.

As a pre-requisite to applying for this role you must possess a Prince2 Practitioner certification to be considered and have extensive proven industry wide experience leading high profile IT projects for key clients. This role requires the smooth, professional management of a portfolio of client projects and cross collaboration with multiple internal / external senior stakeholders to ensure projects are initiated, implemented, monitored and controlled and then closed.

Key responsibilities as a Senior Project Manager:

  • Provide end-to-end project management of large scale projects throughout their life cycle, from initiation, planning, budgeting, scheduling.
  • Coordinate with Professional Services resources to ensure smooth operational delivery of projects in accordance with project governance framework and PMO processes.
  • Manage risk and issues for assigned projects, providing clear communications and project support to the stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, to agreed scope, quality and budget
  • Responsible for enforcing PMO standards and policies across the organisation on behalf of the PMO Manager. Being a PMO ambassador and go to person.
  • Communicate project objectives to all team members involved, managing multiple work teams.

What we expect of you:

  • Extensive project management experience within the IT industry, experience leading and delivering complex IT projects across large scale projects/clients
  • Managed projects circa £500k and above.
  • Extensive experience of working with cross functional teams and within a multi-resource environment including working with third parties.
  • Project Management Qualification – PRINCE2 Practitioner ( Essential ) 

  • Accurate financial management and forecasting tasks such as P&L Proven ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously

  • Experience of BAU transition and operational managed services. 
  • Highly proficient in MS Office 365, MS Project, Teams.
