We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Sales Director to be part of the UK & Ireland management team and join us on this journey.

You will have the freedom to set the sales strategy of the UK & Ireland business and build a high-performing team around you. We already provide services to some of the UK's largest companies, where you and your team will drive growth into new business areas.

You will also have the opportunity to drive sales to new customers by working hand in hand with our broad partner community, committed to growing business with us.

We are looking for someone with excellent leadership skills and the ability to develop a sales culture that creates trust with customers and prospects to deliver long-term mutual benefits.

 

Key Accountabilities

In this exciting new role will have the following responsibilities:

  • Set targets and ensure growth at a level above the local market growth rate.
  • Ensure optimum allocation of resources to existing and new targeted customers, utilizing appropriate qualification sales tools and processes.
  • Direct forecasting and pipeline activities in line with corporate reporting standards.
  • Monitor and support individuals in their creation of sales plans and activities.
  • Provide assistance and guidance about the development of a pipeline of customer suspects and prospects.
  • Meet with key clients, assist Sales and Business Development staff with the development and maintenance of relationships, and contribute to the negotiation and closure of significant sales opportunities. Have and build a strong network in the key customer segments.
  • Run regular pipeline, qualification, and account reviews with all sales staff.
  • Interface with other Heads of Sales in Europe or globally when it comes to Global Teaming agreements and execution of multi-national customer contracts.
  • Act as an ambassador for Orange Business internally and externally, representing the values of Orange at all times to promote diversity and inclusion.
  • Create a pipeline of sales talent for future employment opportunities to support our growth strategy.
  • Coach and mentor team members towards their personal and professional goals.
  • Work with the extended team to ensure order, revenue, and margin targets are achieved and exceeded.
  • Manage sales resources and ensure high levels of motivation and engagement.
  • Support the negotiation of multi-million euro contracts for long-term managed services.

 


about you

 

Essential role-related knowledge, skills, and experience

  • Industry knowledge.
  • Strategic and hands-on understanding of the ICT industry in the UK & Ireland.
  • Proven and compelling experience in building a performant sales team.
  • Hands-on experience and successful track record, and in-depth knowledge of how to develop opportunities aimed at multi-national companies.
  • Capable of understanding the strategic business context and developing structures and processes to support the specific goals and objectives necessary to achieve success.
  • Capable of adapting their sales strategy to reach out to a wide variety of customers.
  • Ability to propose, explain, justify, and implement commercial principles to other communities of interest.
  • Ability to develop people; this includes selecting, giving feedback, and providing appropriate rewards.
  • Ability to attract and retain the talent required to implement and drive forward ambitious plans.
  • Ability to carry out constructive performance appraisals, including the agreement on future expectations.
  • Prepare strategies to help team members achieve goals.
  • Ability to support non-performers in a professional manner.
  • Focus on profit opportunities – able to walk away from a 'bad deal.
  • Experience in negotiating complex large, value contracts.
  • Ability to provide visible and charismatic leadership to link the team vision and mission of Orange Business.
