about the role
- Cleaning, transforming and processing data to ensure its quality, consistency and compliance with business requirements
- Creating and managing ETL/ELT processes
- Design, development and optimization of data models
- Testing data quality
- Creating scripts and procedures to automate processes
- Work with Analytics and Business teams to understand requirements, develop appropriate solutions, and deliver data in the right format and at the right time.
- Develop and maintain documentation on data infrastructure, ETL/ELT processes, database schemas and other aspects related to data management.
- Work with partners from other countries (mainly France, Belgium, Spain and Romania)
- Travel to other countries (twice a year)

As a Data Engineer at Orange you will join a dedicated team of 30 experts supporting our branches in Poland and other European countries. As part of Orange Innovation we focus exclusively on development and delivery of new solutions, assuring that you will always have new and interesting challenges ahead of you.
We are looking for a team player with great communication skills, unafraid to share their opinions and able to organise their work well. Besides solid technical background good ability to communicate, consult with and support the Business teams is what will make you stand out as a candidate.
This position offers a hybrid or remote (from within Poland only) work models and involves some international business trips. Fluency in both Polish and English is required.

Required:
- Good knowledge of SQL databases (knowledge about noSQL will be an asset)
- Ability to work with large amounts of data in an operational environment
- Good knowledge of Python libraries and frameworks for data processing (preffered Spark/pandas)
- Knowledge of Polish and English at a level allowing for communication and preparation of technical documentation
- Experience in working with Linux and Git version control system
- Practical knowledge of programming environments for data analysis and Big Data technologies hosted on-prem and in Public Cloud (preferably GCP)
Nice to have:
- Higher education in Computer Science, Mathematics / Statistics, Telecommunications or related
- Experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence
- Experience in data engineering for AI/ML solutions
- Experience in working with Marketing entities
