about the role
Role Overview:
As a Technical Lead Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure solutions that support internal applications. You will be responsible for leading technical projects, providing guidance to junior engineers, and ensuring the overall architectural integrity of cloud systems. Your leadership and technical expertise will directly contribute to the growth and scalability of our cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Architecture & Design: Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions, ensuring that they are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.
- Technical Leadership: Act as the technical authority for the cloud engineering team, providing direction on best practices, cloud technologies, and design principles.
- Mentorship & Team Development: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, DevOps, and Cost team, to ensure the seamless integration of cloud systems with other platforms.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest cloud trends, tools, and technologies. Identify opportunities to optimize existing cloud infrastructure and implement new solutions to meet business needs.
- Performance Optimization: Proactively identify and implement strategies to improve the performance cloud infrastructure.
- Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Provide guidance in resolving complex technical issues and ensure the stability and reliability of cloud systems.
about you
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Expertise:
- Strong Knowledge with Azure cloud platform.
- Proficiency in cloud-native services (e.g., CKA, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes service & Cloud Functions).
- Experience in gitlab.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic search, Kibana, Logstash, fluentD).
- Strong knowledge in Elastic search and Elastic cloud in Kubernetes (ECK).
Leadership Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years in IT field role with mentoring experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to guide and influence technical decision-making across the team.
- Experience in managing cloud infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
- Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to make informed decisions under pressure while managing competing priorities.
- Be part of a forward-thinking team that embraces new ideas and cutting-edge technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AKS, Azure Solutions Architect, CKA).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
