In a fast-changing and challenging digital environment, the Cyber Security Solutions Engineering Team is seeking a Senior Security Solutions Engineer at Orange CyberDefense. The Senior Security Solutions Engineer is our technical expert, testing, validating, and creating solutions to protect operational technology environments from cyber threats. The role requires a deep understanding of key services (e.g., OT Security, EDR, Threat Intelligence, and SASE) as well as experience in designing and implementing security solutions in these environments to provide effective security protections. This is a highly technical role requiring coordination across our vendors, presales, product management, implementation, and operations teams.

Your roles and responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Test and develop cyber security solutions (e.g., OT Security, EDR, Threat Intelligence, and SASE), overall architecture, and components for global cybersecurity customer projects.
  • Test and validate new features for customised, generic, and complex solutions in the lab based on specifications.
  • Perform system integration across multiple platforms.
  • Participate in the research, design, and implementation of new cyber security technologies, architectures, and products to support security requirements for operational technologies and their customers.
  • Serve as a security expert in the cyber security technology space, including network and/or platform (operating system), assisting project teams in complying with security policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Provide operations, pre-sales, sales, and marketing teams with appropriate support, documentation, and training, leading them during rollout and deployment.
  • Perform operational tasks during pilot phases to support operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Solutions, Professional Services, Service Delivery, and Operations teams to design, develop, and support security solutions, and occasionally engage directly with Orange's customers on critical strategic occasions.
  • Research and utilise emerging  cybersecurity solutions, networking, inventory, and reporting mechanisms to detect, protect, and respond to cybersecurity threats in global manufacturing facilities, including service operations.
  • Develop cybersecurity roadmaps in collaboration with product managers.
  • Provide Level 3 support for security operations teams.
  • Identify and raise risks to management regarding the current service and future enhancements if necessary.

Education, Qualifications, and Certifications:

  • Engineering Degree in Computer, Communication, Electronics, MIS, or equivalent experience.
  • Information security certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc.) are a plus.

Professional Experience:

  • At least 6 years of IT/network operation technical experience.
  • At least 6 years’ experience in managing network and security infrastructures.
  • At least 4 years of practice in an ITIL-managed activity.
  • At least 2 years of OT security, EDR, threat intelligence, and SASE management experience.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware ESXI, Hypervisor) and Linux systems.
  • The ability to develop Shell, Perl, or Python scripts is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of security principles and practices across one or more technologies, such as firewalls, routers, intrusion detection systems, threat protection, vulnerability management tools, and network management systems
  • Experience in networking, technical architecture and cloud technology
  • Hands-on experience in evaluating specifications, lab validating, & testing.
  • Hands-on experience in analysing architecture and building proposals.
  • Strong knowledge of operational security management processes across multiple platforms
  • Strong leadership abilities, can-do approach with the capability to develop and guide information security team members and IT operations personnel, act as an owner for constant improvement in the team, and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills (written, oral, presentations) with a keen sense of ownership and comfortable communicating with stakeholders and team members
  • Excellent analytical, decision making, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder management
  • Educate, coach, and influence team members.
  • Able to multi-task prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience leading the response to security incidents and managing them to conclusion
  • Experience in report writing, developing dashboards and reports highlighting risks for senior management
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English is a must, and French is a plus
